I bet he and Mickey hang out a lot. And whenever Jack has to go up to London for meetings with UNIT etc, he bounces between staying with the Jones family and staying with Mickey. Which is great for him because when he’s with Mickey, he can just get drunk and be crazy and do ‘manly’ stuff but then when he’s at the Jones’ house, Francine mothers him and Clive acts like he’s a son and Martha’s always there with him and he just feels incredibly loved and cared for. Especially after Ianto’s death.

I bet while he watched Rose growing up, he adjusted things slightly so she’d be happy. He was the one who convinced Jackie to give her the bicycle when Rose was 12. Pretended to be a salesman and charmed her into it.
